Christopher Berg

Senior Data Analytics and Finance Consultant

Chris is responsible for operations and data analytics, financial systems development and profitability reporting.

As a key member of Concata’s project team, he works closely with the consultants to develop the data extraction tools, analytical models and reports essential to every project. Whether he is helping with a profitability project, compensation system revamp or merger or lateral valuation, his finance and tech skills are invaluable.

He brings over 30 years of large-scale technology and business systems expertise to his role at Concata. Over his career he has worked on a wide range of finance-related projects, including billing, collections, time entry, health and financial hygiene reporting, business intelligence, budget reporting, and compensation systems.

In his 24 years of law firm experience, he has been responsible for integrating the technical and financial systems of twelve different law firms into the parent firm, after they were acquired. This required extensive project and change management skills. As the project lead, he built Lean and Six Sigma philosophies and practices into the cultural fabric of the firm.

Career background

Chris began his career as a programmer/analyst and quickly advanced to Director of Technical Services. At his next company, he began as Director of Technical operations and was then promoted to Chief Operating Officers. His leap to the legal world occurred when he took a job at Bingham McCutchen, since acquired by Morgan Lewis, as Director of Business Systems. It was here that he gained extensive experience designing, developing and rolling out financial, billing, budgeting, scheduling, accounting and attorney dashboards systems worldwide.
